If your baby is older than 2-3 weeks old and you haven't seen any tears, you are either very prompt, or she might have a clogged tear duct. I don't know much about it, but I have heard about babies having it. You might want to call the dr. office and make an appt. or just ask to talk to a nurse to see if she thinks you need to come it. If it's nothing, at least it would put your mind at ease. Good luck.

Two to three weeks before the water works begin. And the first time you see a big tear roll down their little cheek it will break your heart... Then it becomes a daily occurrence. Congrats on the new baby.

my kids had real tears around 2-3 weeks of age, I guess. I remember they would cry and no tears and then all of a sudden there were tears one day when she was scared.

Babies cry from birth unless the have blocked tear ducts. Which isn't a serious problem and generally resolves on its own.
