Your betta is constipated?
Don't feed him for 2 days. Then, for the next 3 days, feed him small pieces of shelled pea. Then do not feed him again for 2 days. Then resume normal, regulated feeding of flakes / pellets.

An increase in temperature to 81F can help boost metabolism.

A cooked peeled pea will act like exlax. Honestly just a couple of days of fasting works for most betta. In fact you should skip at least one day a week for most fish.

awe -- little fat betta. i suggest you change to pellets. they are easier to regulate his meal. mine get 6 pellets a day in 2 or three meals. its easier counting pellets than feeding flakes.
peas will help clear him out. try feeding him peas once a week to keep everything going properly.
