How do I get out of the church and what do I do next in Splinter Cell Double Agent for PS2?

I dont know where to go when I'm in the church

If you are in the prison cathedral, there should be a rope dangling from a balcony area above you. Drop the rope down to the floor and climb to the roof. This is from the gamecube version, I don't know if PS2 is the same.
