They say 'how can you expect anyone else to love you if you don't love yourself?' do you think this is true and do you treat yourself as well as you should?

It's true. I'm better to myself now than 20 years ago, but still find myself ignoring my needs, want and desires too much and doing too much for others at times, to my own loss.
Many of us are 'enablers', and go overboard supporting others who don't deserve the great amount of TLC we have to give. That's not healthy, and won't make us happy in the long run.
So, seek balance in your life. Best of luck.

I like this question. I can give ya a deep answer but..... I'm learning to be better at it. Factors that affect mine are, good sleep, no bad or illegal habits, threat others like I wanna be treated, Having a relationship with a higher power. forgiving myself for past mistakes. I could go on but.....Well everything kinda falls in place when I do these things and more.

yes I think its true. Cause if your not comfortable with yourself then it can be hard to let others in, You put up barriers.
I used to find faults in myself when I was younger, but now that I am older I realized this is me and that wont change. Once you except that, the rest is easy.

I push myself around, pressure myself, neglect my body, misuse my 'intellect'. I don't think I'm all that good to myself. I drink a lot. I'm trying to be better to myself, though. I live by those rules; love yourself first, then others will love you. How can I love myself if I can't pick myself up?

I'm pretty good to myself, but I probably don't treat myself as good as I should. I do think the statement is true.

Nope and I don't expect anyone to love me or treat me right. No one ever has and no one ever will. The only person who treated me right was my father and he is dead.

I think this is true, However, I don't follow it very well. I am always putting every ones needs above my own. But, I am working on it.
