we have at least 20 people that are trying to break us up cause he is white and i am mixed (my dad is black and my mom is white, 80% of my family is white) i dont want us to break up but with all this negativity around us its har. i wish everyone would just drop it but they wont. what can i do. we both really, really like each other????!!!!!!

screw what ppl think. You're parents must accept it, after all, they were in an interracial relationship. Don't worry about what ppl think. As long as the two of you are happy together, you can make it through all the criticism. Don't change who you are and what you love to fit anybody elses molds.

You could go out with the boy in secret. Convince your parents that you've broken up with him and that will reduce conflict. Or you could tell everyone how much their antipathy to your boyfriend hurts you. They might be a bit more understanding and try to adjust. I don't think it matters what colour of skin someone has, it's about what's inside that counts.Normally, with any miscegenation you will face trouble in that kind of relationship because people are racist. Stick it out and see what happens. They might accept it in the end.

Well I would just not listen to them. If you are happy with each other why break up that will just make everyone around you happy. I would just stay together and not listen to what other people around you have to say. If your parents dont care you shouldnt either.

RELATIONSHIPS are HARD to begin with......adding the inter racial factor....Seems if you Listen to what others say and think you are doomed!!! Keep the 'communication' between the two of you(if with this one or the next how many) OPEN and Honest and things will be JUST fine......!!! You should be able to see that in your parents relationship???
