Why wouldn't they be??? Texas is, like most other states, a great place. Yes, even here near Ft Hood. The people are, for the most part, honest, hard working people who have contributed a lot to the development of the US. Texas, being the 2nd largest state, has a wide variety of country to see, much of which is quite beautiful. Perhaps you should question why you thing everything here is "weird" and the roads are much worse in other places, Chicago for example. Welcome to Texas, have a nice day

It is like a myth, "every thing's bigger in Texas", and the like. I live in Texas, not from here, but i must say, it is really nice, beats the hell out of Arizona. I do not live on a military base, I live in a very nice town, Flower Mound, in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, it is lovely. There are no bad areas in this town, it is unreal, lots of police and town ordinances, but that is what keeps it so nice. My husband is a Texan, he is truly a southern gentleman, yet he is not a wuss, just was raised to have respect, opens doors for ladies, etc. I think this State is a great place, and why not be proud of where you are from? I am from New York City, yep, I'm a Yankee, and damn proud of it.

regardless of what a lot of human beings imagine, Texas is a diverse state. bypass visit Austin, the state capital is an somewhat liberal city. that is demanding to call it in common words Conservative or in common words Liberal; there is somewhat a mix-mashed inhabitants and demographics. i imagine the state desires a touch each standpoint interior it. I continuously question why those who've by no ability been to Texas or lived there anticipate we are all backwoods uneducated cowboys? feels like a fact an uneducated individual can make, yet they call us uneducated? Irony.

What else do they have to be proud of? I mean, they're from Texas. Not a lot to be proud of down there.
