We're not ready for a change. Having a woman or another race, other than Caucasian its too much of a change for us. We like what we have, a white male....but i would love a change....and i hope Obama makes it.

Lack of a qualified candidate who can appeal to a wide cross section of voters.
Personally, I think that the most likely scenario for the first black or woman president would be if they ran as Republicans.

I can only answer half of the question: Hillary Clinton will personally see to it that Obama doesn't even get the nomination. So can I at least get half of the Nutty Bar?

Nothing is stopping us, we're free to cast our vote as we like. It has been proven quite a few times that people don't even know who they're voting for, and that they vote based on things other than the ability of the candidate to perform the job.
Sooooooo....
Barack Obama will get the black vote (because he's black according to our eyes)
Hillary will get the female vote (because she's a female)
Any white man who runs is going to be in for a very difficult time.

Actually nothing. Except obtaining the requred number of Electoral College votes.
In fact if you look at the qualifications for President no where did it exclude blacks or women from being President even before the emancipation or sufferage acts. The qualifications are over 35 years of age, natural born US citizen, and never convicted of a felony.

I hate to burst anyones bubble but Senators usually don't get elected President.
I'll take a Condy/Rudy ticket. At least we get a 2 fer if this one wins. A minority and a black all rolled up into one.
Remember we once had billiary, and if she wins we get hillbilly.

Only the particular candidates that are representing blacks and women. One has almost no experience and the other is hated vehemently by half the country.
I believe whites are only a majority for a single race, but we are no loger over 50% of the total US popluation. So if the rest join together, they can elect who they want.
