1. Get rid of the Social Security Administration
2. Get rid of the federal Education Department
3. End ALL welfare, this means to individuals, companies and corporations.
4. Implement a flat tax rate on all us citizens, companies and corporations of 7%, no deductions, no write offs etc. just 7% of your gross income.
That's what immediately comes to mind, I'm sure there's a lot more I could think of.
Tax the poor !!!

Before I wasted 1 minute on any domestic and especially international issues on the House Floor, if it did no pass the test question, "How is this going to help US citizens and our country today and for a bright future for our youth? The answer to that question has to be very clear, I would not allow it to be even considered to even enter the floor for submital as a House bill if it would no pass the simple procedure stated below. The answer by the sponsor(s) has to be very clear and simple, nothing vague ...
Here is the process I would implement:
Every week, a group of students from one school about 7 of them would come to Congress to perform there civic duty, which would be: if they understood the law that is introduced to them - than it would introduced for debate on the floor. By the way, the only requirements I would suggest to the students would be that they elect their own representatives, any student could qualify but only two woul have to be seniors and 2 freshmen and who play video games but with an average GPA of 3 or above. I think if we did this, our government would run a lot smoother.

I would announce to the UN that the USA would not be taking major efforts to maintain world peace and that a united effort be launched by the UN to take up the slack left by the USA only becoming as involved as the rest of the other nations of the world. Then I would be taking all of the money spent on these wars and putting it back into the USA to fix health care, cut drugs and drug dealing, clean up the school system, cut back on the huge government that exists in Washington and start to give the States more Federal money to fix up the infrastructure and fight pollution at the state level. It seems that the surplus left by the Clinton administration was exasperated by the terror of 911 so more strict laws to monitor who comes and goes in the USA and what enters and exits the USA would also be money well spent. To do all of this I would proclaim to the rest of the world that the USA would match donations given throughout the world to disaster relief matched by Iran, Iraq and Israel combined. The money saved here would be used exclusively on the helping the people of the USA as over the last 10 years they have been neglected over and over again.

Is the Senate Majority Leader "The Big Cheese?". The Senate Majority Leader doesn't get to "Bring home the troops" or make sweeping changes in laws. I would try to re-establish oversight rules so that "the people" can always see what's going on. Also, I would try to enact a law that if a legislator or member of the judiciary speaks in front of the US Seal that they should be considered under oath and can be prosecuted for perjury if caught lying.

The Senate Majority leader is not the "Big Cheese." However, If I were President, I would do exactly what Hillary Clinton wants to do...implement Universal health care.

1. Ignore the ACLU and other wacko groups---return to majority rules. 2. get rid of law-makers and judges etc. that make or re-make laws instead of enforcing the existing ones. 3. get rid of teachers/profs.(like churchill) that use their positions to preach their own hate agenda. 4. Build prisons on uninhabited islands for hard core criminals. Child killers/molesters/kidnappers on one--murders on another--- three strikes your out offenders---gang members etc. etc.etc. Let them live the way they want to until it's the last man standing rules. 5. re-install the word "illegal" into the dictionary and USE IT!!! 6. Put short-time prisoners and able bodied welfare recipients to work building a wall across our southern border. Guards on top w/dogs---motion sensor lights/sirens---electrified! 7.Make politicians stick to the term limits we have voted in and they have chosen to ignore. No more career crooks running the country. Kennedy? 8. Flat tax to be raised only by a 2/3 majority of the voters.-------OOPS!!! I think my year is up!!!! It may not be perfect but at least it's a start in the right direction!!!

The decades overdue amendment making Children born in the US by illegal residents also illegal and subject to immediate deportation with back-charges to their Government for the costs ensued! Maybe then they would stop trying to help them invade and start trying to make them stay in their countries!
That and push through a bill allowing Local enforcement of federal immigration laws!

CUT SPENDING, not slowing the growth of spending but make actual cuts. Reduce the size of the government drastically.
