All of these meds carry risks.

The risk is your baby will be born with a birth defect.
Some of them are more dangerous than others. I don't know about those ones in particular, but you can research them online and you should also talk to a qualified obstetrician. Not strangers online.

Ideally, you should be medication-free when trying to conceive to eliminate the possibility of medication-related birth defects.

I don't consider it might be a excellent I concept. There may be atmosphere prompted melancholy coping with demise ECT. That's traditional and there is no anti-depressant to support that. There's a chemical imbalance depression which is mainly what anti-depressants are used to deal with. Anti-depressants treat the chemicals within the mind to support make a person steady in case your chemical levels are natural there is no want for any treatment. They have anti-anxiousness drugs (additionally no longer endorsed during pregnancy) and some RX sleep drugs which are secure to take during being pregnant. I had a nonetheless delivery with my 1st baby and once I obtained preg. Again I used to be totally harassed out and very concerned the entire time, at any time when i didn't believe the youngster move I worried I was hospitalized for per week because I could now not consume or sleep it was once torture. I did not even take into account taking anti-depressants and risking my baby being sick and even worse death. I used to be instructed to try counseling and to my shock it worked. I discovered systems to make use of when I started to suppose anxious and it continuously helped I learned easy methods to "speak myself down" lol. Anyway I endorse attempting it also I got books about optimistic thinking like "the key" and "a brand new Earth" sounds corny but most of the time we are able to relatively let our minds elevate us away and in reality learning how to suppose confident is in no way a nasty thing. You’re carrying a new little individual and so they need you to be powerful and healthy from them. I are aware of it's hard consider i do know I mean i do not consider i can provide an explanation for with words the hell I used to be in once I was preg. With my son. However learning to not be a sufferer of my circumstances I developed a "can do" attitude and now i am a better man or woman and mom in view that of it. Please do not forget other ways earlier than resorting to anti-depressants they won't repair the problem they only treat the signs. It is like placing a band-aid on a broken leg. If there was a magic capsule to fix us when life bought hard we might all be taking it regrettably anti-depressants don't work like that.

It safe to take some medications for these types of problems, generally a seritonin regulating drug is fairly safe they may ask you to go off of it once your in your third trimester so as not to have the baby go through withdrawls when they are born. Might also cause your baby to be smaller. or their lungs not fully developed. It depends greatly on your dose, you could always in stead of going off of them completely try to manage on a lower dose, so you minimize the risks involved. Talk to your doctor about it and get his opinion. I read "the panic free pregnancy" I loved this book for honest uptodate information. Dont worry about it to much. Good luck!!

I'm not sure about those specific meds, but some are safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding. However, drug companies will normally say that none are safe for legal reasons. Talk to your ob/gyn, but if he/she just looks it up in a drug reference book, the answer you get may not be accurate. There are some good sources on the net, particularly motherisk.org, based at Toronto Sick Kids hospital.

The only one that I know for sure is not recommended while bf is Paxil; I took Celexa.

my doctor is letting me take effexor. do some research online, but don't freak out when you see something that says it can cause heart defects. stay calm and read lots of websites or books. talk to your obgyn.

says risk factor is B, which is a step better than effexor which is C.

Cymbalta has a category risk of C. C basically means there's not enough studies to say
