Could Scotland really go the route of Denmark and Norway and create a huge petroleum fund for its small population to give them all socialized healthcare and unemployment, etc.? What's the downside?

So what say you Wallace? Will you lead us to victory for our independence over those British dogs?
Does Scotland really have enough sustainable oil reserves for such a bold move?
There is not much of a global market for bridies and haggis if the petroleum reserves run out.

The downside is that Scottish natural resources are already running out. They'll be pretty much gone in 15 years, if not sooner.
