I am going to quit smoking on Monday...that is my day. I am going to use the patch, but I was wondering if there is a difference in how they work, Walgreens (generic) and the Nicoderm, or is there just difference in the price?

Thanks!

Yeah I have read the boxes, but didn't know if anyone had any experiences with either.

Do the name brands stay on better...are they smaller...are they easier to hide?

Just wonderin if there was ANY reason NOT to get the store brand.

I've used walgreens brand and found it worked great...actually worked real good stayed stuck on even through showering
also this worked for me...i saved all my cigarette butts in a jar with a little water and a tight lid, then anytime after i quit and i thought of having a cigarette all it took was opening that jar up and smelling the stench that came out of it and i instantly loss that smell craving of a cigarette......
also get lots of veggies ( celery, carrots..etc) to nibble on
P.S. wash all your clothing and anything else that might hold the stench of cigarettes....
I never realized how bad i and everything in my home stunk until i quit smoking

Compare active ingredients on packaging of both, most generics or store brands are usualle equivilant to the name brand and some are even made by the name brand manufacturer.

No, there's no real difference. If you look at the labels, you'll find they have the same ingredients and same dosage.

You'd just be paying for the name.
