He can only claim you if:
(a) No one else claims you as a dependent
(b) All of the following must apply:
1. You are a citizen or resident of the U.S., Canada, or Mexico
2. You're not filing a joint return (which since you're not married, you would not)
3. You have a SS#
4. You have lived with him the ENTIRE year (Member of Household Rule)
5. Your gross income is less than $3,300
6. He provides more than 50% of your support

It technically falls under the Qualifying Relative, even though you're not related. You just must have lived with him the entire year.

Yes he can. As long as he has been supporting you for more than 50%. I know this from personal experience. I have claimed my boyfriend now fiance for the last two years on my income taxes.

I believe he can if you do not work and he provides a certain percentage of your care. Check the IRS publications or call the IRS and ask them the question directly.

hmmm.. If the person above is a tax professional, then I step aside to their expertise. My apologies if I have answered incorrectly.

Nope! You have to be a "qualifying child" or a "qualifying relative" to be a dependant. You are neither! The rules changed in 2005. I am a tax professional, so I know it to be true! You can do some reading at www.irs.gov

perchance. in case your total income for the three hundred and sixty 5 days is below $3400, you lived jointly ALL 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, and your relationship would not violate any community regulation or ordinance (no matter if that is enforced any more effective or no longer) then he likely can declare you.

No, he can not claim you as a dependent.

Check the IRS web site for more information.

Yes he can, the dependent is anyone who is depending on him. If he is taking care of you, yes sweetie he can put you on his income tax. I hope I answered your question babe.

Yes.

He can claim you as a dependent if he supports you. Your age doens't matter. It doesn't matter if you are married or not.
