Everything is going to be destroyed. What do you take with you?

It is understood everyone has a preconceived notion of what they would take, but under the heat of the moment (no pun intended LOL), some people take some really strange things.

My kid, my pets, family photos, purse (I will need that Visa! and ID) everything else is replaceable.
I know this is what I would take. My friend's kitchen caught on fire... I threw her cat out the door, grabbed her purse and her photos off the wall and tossed them outside as well. Then I helped her by finding the extinguisher in the garage, but it was too late to do anything but get the car out. It destroyed her kitchen, but the important stuff in there was tossed out. And yes, the cat did come home!

People have often told me that it is a good idea to have a small box of REALLY important things to you in the front hall closet (or some such place). Of course, the people and the pets at my house are first on the list.

I'd take my laptop. I don't have alot of pics, and the ones I do are on the computer. I would also take my watch, wallet and cell phone. Everything else is replaceable..

My family, my cat, my computer and my mobile and one or two DVDs. That's all I can think of. But if my house was burning I would just take the phone and call the fire department!

The only things that I would take would be clothes, shoes and family pictures. Everything else can go - I have great insurance! LOL.
