Suppost you win some sort of beauty contest, then you have to move to a city that you don't know much people, but you are confortable cause your going there to do some science research .
This place is called ( monkey people ) all of them are not only wierd and ugly they are aneducated, they don't know how to behave, but they are almost people and You actually love them cause is part of your research and you see some good things on this transfer. so you have to live with them for a long period of time.
Off course probably you will have your team.
HOw would you interact with this wierdos???????other ideas are welcome too .

The beauty contest is about a , very beautifull girl veery beautiful,but the thing is that this monkey people like not only beauty but any woman.
( i used a pretty girl to make a pretty much extreme contrast, between sociaties )

This is basically a question about fitting in when your own standards are not recognized in any meaningful way by the group you've accepted a need to interact with and/or fit into.

For instance, you are 28, female, single, making $1,334,000 this year in your job in corporate finance, have satisfying but short-length relationships with men (or women) and no children or prospect of having any in the next few years due to your career plans. You are injured and require 2-3 months of gentle rehab with twice weekly outpatient rehab. By gentle rehab, your doctor means no really physical activity and relaxed surroundings to reduce tension and the effects it has on your body. You end up at your grandmother's retirement village where she has an active social life with 10-12 other similar age and background women.

And none of them care a whit about your abilities or successes. Just your "failure to catch a man and have children."

You wish to fit in as you love your grandmother, the ladies are nice and you need the lack of tension.

Many other situations are the same. Sometimes we find a way to fit in, sometimes we don't or don't even try. Ever see an athlete try to fit in with a "science nerd"? A cheerleader with the goth girls? The 49yo janitor with chronically exposed crack and three missing teeth with the handsome, strapped boys at the clubs? (Well, yeah, I guess that one was a "don't" not a "don't try"...)

I would consider answering your question in those terms if I were writing a story.
