a quick sharp pain in my abdomen. Now, I know, I know everyone says it is just stretching ligaments, but it wasnt the same pain as that, it was just a sharp jab, then another, then another. I was curious if anyone has had their baby kick, and it felt like that. other wise i dont know what it could be since i wasnt moving or changing positions, i was just sitting still, so it couldnt have been ligiment pain, right?

it sounds like you might be pregnant. You should probably get an ultrasound

No, ligiment pain doesn't have to be just went you move. It's basicly a pulled muscle and can be painful all the time. But no....my baby kicking or moving never felt like sharp jabs. It's always been (for both pregnancies) more of a tickling or a dull poke like if someone poked my belly from the outside, only from the inside. Sometimes when she would roll over or something it would feel like a whale coming up for water lol, like a rolling push...it was weird. I don't know what a sharp jab could be besides ligiment pain. Maybe someone else knows lol! Good Luck though!!

Oh honey, if ligaments and muscles only hurt when you moved, my back wouldn't hurt right now. I also get the occasional joint muscle cramp right above my left hip, even when I'm sitting.
When you start feeling your baby move, it will feel like flutters or even gas, something light and to that effect. I'm 35 weeks and no movement that my baby has made has been sharp, and at 18 weeks they still have enough room to not cause that kind of impact with your own internal workings. For your first, it's completely normal not to have felt anything yet, or to have mistaken it for something else.
Talk to your OB at your next appointment about some exercises and/or stretches that might help your body stretch and adjust better.

When I first felt my babies move it was more like a flutter, If you have ever had a twitchy nerve, that's what bub feels like but just in your tummy. I never felt sharp pain until i got closer to the end, then if I moved too fast it would feel like i was tearing something. If you are worried and want to be sure go see your Dr, or give him a call. Even ring the hospital and speak to a midwife.

I felt my first one bypass at 15 wks. It became a touch bit flutter like knock concern. I felt my 2d newborn, my daughter at thirteen weeks. It became an truly similar sensation to the first time. The moves get more suitable because the infant grows. My toddlers might want to bypass round so frustrating each so often my total abdomen might want to bypass round. some cases i might want to make certain the description of a touch foot or hand by ability of my abdomen. That became so cool reason even as that got here about my son kicked his father's hand off my abdomen.

That was your baby. Maybe he/she is gonna be strong. The foot or fist had good strength behind it.
