i've been working out my triceps thinking that the strength of the triceps determine how far you can throw a football (with disregard to technique, etc)
QUESTION::::: is rotator cuff muscle strength more important than tricep strength when youre wanting to throw a football further? does rotator cuff strength determine how far you can throw a football ? (with disregard to technique)

Would you rather be a quaterback known for your accuracy or distance. Example: Troy Aikman threw mostly short route passes his whole career, but he could squat almost 900 pounds. Hom many times per game does a QB go deep to a receiver in a game? 2-5 times at the very maximum.

Concentrate on accuracy and your distance will develop.

If it works better for you, go with it. You'll probably end up getting a lot of passes knocked down though due to your low release. I always thought you were supposed to throw from beside your head, not so much over it. Try to find something in between if possible. Bernie Kosar threw kind of sidearm and was a great college qb and decent NFL qb.

rotator cuff strength can send the ball farther, but accuracy is the best policy. try workin on some hand-eye coordination workouts before working with the rotator cuff.

The arm speed you generate translates into distance.

Work on traps as well.

Sorry, without proper technique, you won't realize your maximum potential.
