It's back bacon as opposed to side bacon. I've never seen Canadian bacon in Canada, for some reason American's like to call back bacon, Canadian bacon.

The stuff you get in the USA thats called "Canadian Bacon" isn't. Its just fancy ham, you hav e to come to Canada to get the real deal

lol. Actually Bill W isn't far off. It's also called pea meal bacon.

It's not like the strips regular bacon is. It's a slice (hockey puck shaped) slab of ham, fried up with cornmeal (or not) its DEE-LISCOUS!

It's so good... and not as fatty as regular bacon.

Im half Canadian and I still dont know. I think they are trying to hide the truth from me though.

Good question. It is very similar to ham. I think it has less fat though.
