Ok, here is my opinion :
Metal music and its related music, sometime been judged by any people as the satanic or devilish music, why ???? This people are being injected by a thought of their religion that this kind of music is bad, this music is devil worshipper. And in my opinion they are so very stupid if they hear that thought. God give us a heart, what the heart is for ?? The heart is a thing that we use to feel. And the music is the way for us to express what we feel. So the metal music is. Every metal artist express what they love, they like, they hate, they see, they do etc with their music. And we can say that they express it with their heart also. So we can say that God also send the metal music to us. So when any person talk to you that you are league with the devil, so they deny their own God. Right !!!!!
I am a metal music lover for almost 25 years, and if anyone tell me that my music is a devil worshipper music, so then i let told them like this : "if my music is a devil worshipper music, so please let me know what is an angel worshipper music ??? and also let me know what Christian metal music is ???? Is that a half devil and half angel worshipper music ?????

Hail to you to be in metal, just keep the steel inside your heart forever, cause You are You. So tell this to the one who say metal is in league with the devil : F*ck Off !!!!

...Um..... Why do you ask if you don't care? I just punch people in the nose like I would a shark. OR!!!! Inform them of how closeminded they are, give them eeeeeevery fact you know about it (that measn reseacrh and a brain if you don't already know), and then they'll be bored (and probably speechless). I exercise it everyday in my chatroom. The only thing people can come up with is "Shut up, stupid." =/ LAME. So, it all takes logic, being calm, and every fact you know about being openminded. None of this takes fighting, although ifI had a bad day, someone's gettign punched in the nose. If you want to see me in action, ;) go to the infmaous Myspace. There are chatrooms there; go to Music, then "other". The peopl there will tell ANYone off if they know nothing. WOW!!!! Who sounds lame? I do. =)

I totally hear you. I mainly get that from my family. They just don't get it. Maenwhile it's odd because my father listened to Black Sabbath when he was younger and my grandfather gave him SUCH a hard time about it. I try to explain to him what he does to me is the same thing, but he just never got it.
Now that I'm 25 and live from outside the umbrella of parental supervision, I could care less what anyone has to say about it.

You should have seen there faces when I got an eyebrow ring a few months ago. :-)

I get the same thing but I really don't care what people think. We do get stigmatized by listening to our favorite music. To be honest, I am careful around certain people, because they will be quick to judge. Usually religious people. But my ears are on my head and are controlled by my mind. My choice, which I think is better, but to each their own. Just ignore the ignorant. Keep on Rocking!

If you dress like a freakish vampire than everyone is going to persecute your musical preference. I listen to everything from death metal (Gorguts, cryptopsy.. etc) to Hip Hop (Mobb Deep, Nas..) Its usually not the music you listen to that offends people around you, its the way you flaunt your preferences by wearing goofy clothes with satanic symbols. Korn really doesnt rock either.

I used to get a lot of problems from people, especially when my hair was long. But, it was my choice to listen to what I was listening to, and look the way I did, and if some people couldn't understand it then it was up to me to deal with it. There are always going to be ignorant people in the world who feel the need to mock what they don't understand.

Who cares what they think?! Tell them to bite you and screw off it's none of their bisiness what you like to dress like or listen to. I know someone who gets crap like that just cause he loves Metallica and wears all these rings and wrist things and dresses in black. He's really a nice guy and DOESN'T worship the devil or anything, but that is people's first impression of him. People use labels, there is nothing you can do about it so accept it tell them to get a life, and move on. :)

Well. For 1 i always tell people that if you had any self respect you would hit that person in the face. Or beat the Crap out of someone in a mosh pit. That works.

you're definitely not the only one getting that. for several years people call me "goth" and 'emo' and ask me if i cut myself, because i dont listen to kelley clarkson and 50 cent or whatever. just be glad you dont have musical tastes like those people. if you can call what they listen to music.
