Heard this the other day and is quite scary, would that mean tide changes will occur and also that maybe the pull of the moon will halt the tide process so the seas will become stagnant???

POINT BLANK! The universe is forever expanding. It is a consequence of dark matter. Unfortunately, science cannot prove dark matter, but IT DOES EXIST.......Dark matter is opposite gravity and rather than attract, it opposes. This is why the moon is "moving away from us."

Its moving away at about 1/2 inch per year. It wont make any difference in our lifetime.

it has been since its origin.
it will not cause a big difference in our lifetime but far down the road it will. i think its moving away because of the force when it was created and the Sun's force upon it.
