they broke the mold..it was a revolution.
their music did something that noone elses did (and it still is totally unique!)
most of all they wrote their own lyrics..it had a real feel to it. when they sang live they used natural emotion.
their lyrics was about stuff that was important and when it wasnt, it was sweet and romantic. personal...many people could relate too
it wasnt just their music, it was their attitude and personalities. they were incredible people. each band member could bring something to the band. John with his liberal attitude and comedy..Paul with his charm and cute disposition. im not exactly sure what George and Ringo did but they were crucial to the band. they had their own special qualities..
and their acting was amazing!!! all the characters were different. the guys together were incredibly hilarious and fun to watch.

wonderful role models

they were a phenomenon. They just came along at EXACTLY the right moment. I have a theory that if it hadn't been THEM then it would have been some other band. Everyone just seemed ready for it.

It's hard nowadays to understand just how huge they were, actually. It was almost like you couldn't stop thinking about them.

They are all dying in reverse order, unfortunately.

Lennon was arguably the best Rock and Roll guitarist that the UK ever produced. And Mcartney was very good on bass guitar- these facts are often overlooked.

The Beatles had a revolutionary sound, and they were young and full of potential. Their songs were (and are!) EXTREMELY catchy, not easily forgotten (have you ever noticed that after you hear even the smallest snippet of a Beatles song, you're inescapably humming it for the next two days?). Besides, they were four young cute, single guys...

Because they where different yet original, and radical in their rebellion against authority, with the long hair and hippy beads, etc, which I was also into at the time. Now looking back, I think it was all a load of crap. But I still like the music.

original pop band giving short 3min songs at a fast pace and made your average bloke believe they could do it,music is simple and often one of the first tunes to learn on a guitar....shame paul mccartney was a member but always a down side(either you lennon or mccartney)
