San Diego Zoo has koalas. Koalas only eat certain species of eucalypt so you have to have a good supply of the trees before Australia will allow you to have koalas.

the zoo in Los Angeles also has a new breeding program for Koalas, i couldn't find anything else on a specific zoo that has koalas - I know that most of the Koalas in the US are owned by the San diego zoo and frequently travel to otehr zoos as special exhibits where they stay for a few months or so.

yes i know for a fact that the riverbanks zoo in south carolina has two(2) koalas along with lorikeets and miniature kangaroos known as Wallabies
