These all depend on how many are left in circulation and their condition.

Whenever I had something like that, I would just go to Ebay and try to find an exact match to some of my bills or coins and see what people are bidding on them.

You're going to get coin dealers who are trying to sell theirs, too, and they're going to seem way overpriced (and you'll notice no one is bidding on them!) They're only worth as much as someone else is willing to pay.

The good thing about the dealers at ebay is that they'll give you a picture of what they have and a professional evaluation of condition, and you can compare yours to guess at the rating yours would get.

(According to the website below, the Bank of the United States was only in operation until 1811. Your $1,000,000 note seems to be a replica, not legal tender.)

You need to take them to SEVERAL dealers who specialize in old coins and paper. One may try to lowball you on the value, but with 5 or 6 people looking at it, you will get a better idea of its value. Then you need to decide what you want to do. Any one of the above dealers will likely buy it from you, or sell it on consignment. You could also, once you know the value, auction it somewhere like e-Bay. It may be worth very little, in which case, you may just want to keep it. Good luck with it.

A million dollar bill from 1840? You should just walk into a bank and redeem it. If it is a real bank note of the U.S., it is still worth the face value, so it can be redeemed at any bank for one million dollars.
