Because Britain hasn't enacted many of the laws that America has, such as no-smoking-laws for bars, restaraunts, beaches, etc, which are limiting smokers freedoms and rights here in the US.

Smoking is rapidly disappearing in British culture, in my experience at about the same rate as in the US.
American tobacco companies are however engaged in getting millions of African people addicted in order to protect their market!
Don't you think that might be a better question to pursue??

300 Million people in America.
say 10 percent of them smoke.
that's a lot of people.
the last audit 4 the UK, said there's 60 million people here in the UK.
the law of averages, tells me ur figures MAYB off.

maybe its because we don't have to pay for medical care if we did with all the smoking related deceases we may think twice by the way i don't smoke

Probably becuz their damn government doesn't take their rights away from them So they are free to smoke with no hassles

I didn't know they did. It's about 28% over here. I think it's because they are schemie/chav/ned/pikey/insert best offensive word for low class people here/ - peasant scum.
