It sounds like it will work. If the mother boards are the same socket then you should be able to do it without too much hastle.

You'll want to update your bios and everything.

Well it sud work for all i know. But you know that computer is a mysterious thing and you never know what is going to happen.
but i guess that if the CPU gets detected then there will not be a further problem :)

As long as it's the same socket type as you indicated there shouldnt be a problem.

both boards are socket 478; yes, you can swap the cpu.

Hi. Should work fine, but you have to try it to be sure. RAM should work as well.
