It depends on whether or not your breat feeding, if you are some lucky women don't have them or only have a minor period during this phase. If your not breastfeeding and it's been 4 months I really wouldn't worry until about 6 months it takes time for your hormones to get bck to normal after having a baby. But to be on the safe side you a condom just in case you have or will ovulate.
Enjoy your new baby, eat well that is one thing that will prevent a period if your not eating well and your tired from taking care of baby that also can prevent periods. So take as many breaks as are offered to you by family and trusted friends. Eat regularly, sleep as often as you can, accept help and you should be back to
normal very soon. I you have had unprotected sex during the last four months buy a pregnancy kit and check to see if that's could be causing this. I really doubt that's the case but it's aways best to be sure. Good luck and congratulations on your new baby.

Honey, Nursing will keep your period from coming at all..... I only got break through's every now and again after months of nursing my oldest son.. .. but that could very well have been because around that time I was pregnant and didn't know it, and had a miscarriage and almost died...... from losing so much blood... I actually had two miscarriages while Nursing him, but the other one was a whole different story...... I didn't even know you could get pregnant while nursing, but I am "Proof" you can.... and I guess it took too much out of my body and that's why my body miscarried the baby.....from nursing and being pregnant at the same time........ You should be getting break through's as I did the longer you nurse..... but then again some women dont get them at all when their nursing...... So, to answer your question if your like most women, until you stop nursing, you shouldn't get one until then....... Smile!!!!

if you're bretfeeding, then you probably won't get a period for a while, breastfeeding work as a natural contraseption but it's not 100% accurate, a lot of women do get pregnant, so be carefull. If you did have sex and didn't use any protection then i suggest that you get a pregnancy test, and if you haven't it's normal not to have a period

Nursing your infant can be one reason. Best bet is to just call your Gynocologist. They already have your medical history and could probably give you the best answer. Phone calls are free, that's what they're there for.

You may not have a period at all while breast feeding. When you stop breast feeding, you can expect to start having them again.
