Depends on how long people shower. I'm guessing the average user is about 10 minutes. The average shower head allows water to flow at 5 to 7 gallons per minute. (Using the middle (6 gallons) it would be about 60 gallons for the shower. )
If your interested, low-flow shower heads only put out about 2.5 gallons per minute, lowering the water usage by almost a third.

I'm not sure, but I have installed a valve in line so I can turn down the flow a little during most of my shower. and turn it up to shampoo, etc. It make the hot water last longer, so I can take a longer shower, and still use less water.
