ive noticed that when girls dance they wear pantyhose or tights. is it because they feel good while moving, support etc?

Depends on where and who.
Lots of times it is to dress up their legs, give them some support, some color and also give their legs a little bit of warmth and protection from the elements (especially when it is cold outside).
