My Place.
Not really. I'm Joking.
Tastes vary and thats why the question is difficult to answer. Below I list the places a tourist should visit before leaving Lebanon.
1) Aanjar: 58 KM from Beirut : An umayyad site with different epochs and civilizations are superimposed one on top of the other.
2) The great temple at Baalbeck or Heliopolis: It and the second temple, with its cellar almost intact, make up one of the most beautiful and famous of ancient monuments
3) Beit Edine: Just after Deir el Qamar and overlooking a terraced hill appears the palace of Beit Eddine. A delightful example of early 19th Century oriental architecture.
4) Byblos: one of the top contenders for the "oldest continuously inhabited city" award.
5) Cedars: They date back to antiquity, when the Phoenicians were exporting cedar-wood to the pharaohs
6) Cave of Jeita: Few caverns in the world approach the astounding wealth or the extent of those of Jeita.
7) Quadisha: one of the deepest and most beautiful valleys in Lebanon
You can also visit Sidon, Tyre, Zahleh etc...

All Lebanon is beautiful... I love everything on it, but if i have to say a place...made by men......then JBEIL. It's amazing the contrast between different cultures in a same place. To walk around between the ruins thinking that you are walking in a place where pple is walking around since 7000 years ago is really impressive.
One can really feel the "touch" of past. Even if you look from some of the "windows" of the Citadel......you can see the modern Jbeil with the mountains as background.
If i have to say a place in nature..........then Jeitta Grotto. That is the most amazing thing I have ever seen. The colours.....the forms....the textures......are...INCREDIBLE !!!!!!
But saying only 2 places is not enough::::::::::How to forget afqa?..or baalbek.......or laklouk? or faraya? or sour with the Hipodrome? batroun?...Nahr Ibrahim? Deir el qamar? Qanaa?? ohh.....qanaa is wow..to know that Jesus walked some day across that land makes one feel small, above all when entering the caves where first christians joined to hear "the Word" Unfortunatelly........lebanese pple living in Lebanon, dont know so much qanaa......Anyways........
Everything is............LEBANON
I miss Lebanon so much!!!!!!!!!!

It all depends on what exactly you like. for me there is something about Jbeil up to Batroun that just reflects what Lebanon is about:
The contrast between old and new, the ruins and the modern buzzing streets, the beach in front of you and the mountain just a few minutes away.
we've also managed to keep it a little greener than most cities.
Our little villages up in the mountains are absolutely charming. some of them feel like time has forgotten them and they are still leading a lifestyle long forgotten.
Beirut cbd ( or as we call it: downtown) is beautiful as well, for anyone who's lived the war, the planning and the workmanship to restore it are absolutely amazing and a credit to the person who had this vision (love him or hate him)
again it's all about contrasts: the modern shops, cafes and night clubs in buildings that belonged to a previous era.
Because I don't live in Lebanon, I think I have more appreciation for these things everytime I visit. while if you lived there you could take them for granted.

the following is a few ideas take a outing to Damascus Syria you'll visit Bekaa Valley & Anjar besides. Then visit from Beirut going north to Jebeil(take the tramway for a view)then Byblos &Tripoli might want to be performed in a lengthy day .Lebanon is about the length of Qatar.to grant you a concept how enormous that is.visit Baalbeck on a outing that is out of ways from Anjar on the line to Damascus. Going south visit bitter & Tyre(make confident the area is calm interior the south as you get in direction of the Isreali Border). you'd be okay wearing conservative way infact I suggested some females wearing burkas in Lebanon. In Beirut visit The Hamra District it truly is now seen downtown take a walk on the prom see "The Pigeon Rocks" they seem to be a nationwide landmark.

That's tricky since I love a lot of places in Lebanon for different reasons. I'd have to saw Byblos, esp when it's lit up at night. I had dinner there one night and it was magical.
Baalbeck is also very nice and Beirut is a city like no other. The hills above Beirut are also nice.

I would recommend the beauty of the nature, our rivers are marvellous as well as waterfalls, plus the mountains, go always toward chouf and these places, you would always discover stuff you've never seen before and never forget the south, with all what happened in that region, it is always my all time favourite

i think baalbeck is marvelous and really shows our history and the hard work of our ancesters, but to get a general and fun day, u can spend it in beirut filled with restaurents, boutiques, and ROMAN BATHS AND RUINS between the modern building. it's like a mixture of old and new cultures. + night life so fun and lively (CRAZY!!!!!!) wherever u go have fun ;)
