Volume, or V=4/3piR^3
so it is V=4/3pi(16)^3
V=4/3pi4096
V=(5461 and1/3)pi
V=17,148.59 cubic inches

The correct formula for the volume of a sphere is 4/3 * pi * r^3 where r is the radius. You have stated the radius to be 16 inches so the correct answer is:
4/3 * 3.14 * 16^3 = 17148.59 cubic inches.

You can derive the formula by integrating the surface area which is given by 4* pi * r^2.

The area of the cube is {sixty 4 inches³}^(a million/3) = 4 inches. The radius of the sector can we a million/2 of the realm, 2 inches. the quantity (V) of a sphere is: V = (4/3)?r³ V = (4/3)?8 V = (32/3)?

I'm pretty sure it's 4/3 x 3.14 x r^3
I think the 4/3 pi accounts for the extra volume around what you would get by simply cubing the radius

V = 4/3Pi*r^3 = 17000 in^3 (don't forget those significant figures!)

The 1/3 is the result of taking the derivative of the surface area, 4Pi*r^2.

It's amazing that people don't trust significant figures. One response took the answer to one decimal which is ridiculously overprecise and certainly not accurate. Another answer went to two decimals. That just boggles the mind!

Volume = 4/3 * r3 , thus
Volume = 4/3 * 16 (cubed), thus
Volume = 4/3 * 4096, thus
Volume = 16384/3 = 5461.3333
