do the following on the pc with the printer connected to it
click start and go to 'printers and faxes'
right click on your printer and choose 'sharing' and select the option to share the printer.
click ok and try and print from the other pc, it should show the printer in the options and be selectable as normal... it may need the printers driver installing on the second pc.

I don't know that this is the best way, but I am assuming all your computers are windows xp in this answer ...
Go to the PC that has the printer and as the first answer suggests, go to start > printers and faxes and right click the printer you want to share. Click 'Sharing' and when the sharing dialogue box open, check the box that says 'Share this printer'
Then right click on 'my computer and go to properties. Click the 'computer name' tab and write down your computer name.
Go to a computer you wish to be able to print from and go to start > run. Type :
\\computername
Where 'computername' is the name you wrote down. This should access all shared drives and devices on that computer. You will either see your shared printer or see an option that has 'Printers and Faxes' either way, find your shared printer, right click it and hit 'connect'
This will then ask you if you want to install the printer drivers on your computer. You do. It will do it automatically and then you should be set.
Just make sure the computer that the printer is physically attached to is on when you want to print.
And yes a print server is a great idea! But if you're a poor student like me, the above route works every time ... email ata_indy @ yahoo . com if you have any questions.

I'm not sure but I don't think you can share a printer with a wireless network.

Buy a wireless print server.
Make sure you select the proper port that is compatible with your printer - parallel or USB.
You then have to set the IP address, and this should be found in the software accompanying the wireless printserver.

Two options. Simplest one is to leave it connected to one computer and enable printer sharing on that computer - upside is that is free - downside is that the computer must be powered up to allow access to the printer. Other one is to buy a wireless print server and connect the printer to this - upside is that it is not reliant on a computer - downside is cost of the wireless print server.

Just set it for sharing as you would any drive or file and load it's driver CD into each remote computer.
