Sent a $300,000. wire transfer to the wrong account. It took me almost 3 weeks to recover the money, and thankfully, my bosses never found it.

I worked in a small (non chain) convenience store and once I just didn't show up. I had looked at my schedule wrong and thought I had that day off. A neighbor called and wanted to know if everything was okay because the store was still closed at noon. I was supposed to open the store at eight. Fortunately, the boss was real understanding since he'd done the same thing a month or so before.

Back when I was waiting tables, I was going into the Walk-In (fridge) to get some mugs that we put in there to chill. I was trying to do too much at one time by wheeling out 8 stacks of mugs. Well, one of the wheels snagged and the whole thing toppled. This led to glass shattering everywhere and in all the food in the walk-in. They estimated that I ruined over $5000 in food and mugs. Oops! No, I didn't get fired.

A wiring error that cost the company $3,000 in 1960's dollars which might be like a $300,000 mistake today! The boss cried, but I didn't get fired.

I worked a double shift and then had to do the books and make a bank deposit. I was so tired that by the time I finished that I got up, put on my coat and walked out, leaving 15,000 dollars laying on the office desk. Luckily no one took it and I did not get fired.

I've made quite a few and I work for an attorney so you should understand that it is very important that you make NO mistakes, and it is stressfull. I think the worst I have done is shred an important document but nobody knew about it.

well this customer was annoying me with their ignorance of his knowledge, he tried to tell me puerto rico was a state that belonged to the USA and his cell plan covered all of USA ( his bill was over 3 k for calling to puerto rico )
I informed him they are a province of the USA NOT an actual state. he wouldnt shut up ( I was being monitored and I didnt know ) I was like dude where did you go to school and what state so we can help that school with their teaching.
I knew I was being monitored when I heard my supervisor laugh at outloud and hit his desk from laughing.
NO I didnt get fired, everyone thought it was pretty damn funny.

sold and shipped a 50hp DC motor to a customer, that was the wrong armature voltage. the hot shot frieght alone was 2000 dollars, and the motor, was useless. they were down and losing 10,000 dollars an hour and because of me, they had to wait even longer. it was a bad deal, but I didnt get fired for it.

Nothing worth mentioning. Where I used to work, I had nightmares about forgetting to do things. I would wake up in a panic and then remember I didn't forget. That was very stressful.
