If the basis of all measurement of matter and energy is the speed of light, as referenced in the equation E=mc2, including time, then can it be said that the mind is not subject to time? Mind travels faster than the speed of light.

The answers I see here only deal with the physical process of the brain. Does science consider the mind to be only the by-product of the brain?

The mind doesn't travel faster than light.
The physical mind, the brain, travels basically as fast as you do (about 4mph walking).
The conceptual mind, thought, travels at the speed of impulses in the brain traversing neurons. These impulses typically travel along neurons at a speed of anywhere from 1 to 120 meters per second. Light travels at 299,792,458 meters per second.

Deliteful question. My answer is good as another.
Mind is faster than anything (burp!). Just think about this, have you ever had a thought or a dream that came true 2 years later? Have you placed yourself in mind millions of years ago? Mind travels both ways. It travels in history and in the future. The mind is not limited to time. That equation e= mc2 I thought I would never ever utter until I got on jeoperty I utter here. thank you for taking me back to high school physics. :)

I read somewhere that the electrical currents in our brain were very slow, something like 40 miles per hour. We drive faster than we think. So no, it doesn't travel faster than light, it just doesn't have far to go.

Mind does not travel. Yo can imagine things travelling, or remember distant places, but it does not mean movement. There is no physical displacement of the mind. Just electric currents in our brain, very slow currents by the way.

I like your way of thinking because the way you worded you question suggests that astral travel is faster than the speed of light, and who knows maybe astral travel could be faster than the speed of light but I'll wager that if anyone who claims to be able to astral travel would lose there bearing in space because they would only have there eyes to navigate by and that would be insufficient to navigate by, however if they travelled only in a straight line for a short period who knows certainly not me.

mind doest really travel like light but i do recall a article i read on yahoo. It says teens, before they commit something bad or something which can get them in trouble, it takes them 1/18 of a second to sort of think of the consequences.

Electrical impulses in the human body go less than 1,000 mph. As for checmical impulses in the brain, I don't know at what speed they travel.

That would depend on how burn't you are.Destroyed brain cells do not repair themselves, like other organs in the body can. They just die and stay dead.
