what is the problem with a refrigerator that is leaking water how is it fixed?

The most likely thing would be a blocked defrost water drain. Without more information such as where and when the water is dripping, the amount of water, the make and a complete model number of the refrigerator you will only be getting guesses and speculation as to what the problem is and of course all kind of useless remedies.

Could be a air ciculation problem inside not letting the cold air to move around. Could be defrosting from door opening and closing to much or the door gasket worn

Mine was caused by the ice maker fill tube freezing up. Water pressure caused a leak.
