I just can't make myself like them. I think boot cut and flare are just more flattering. The skinner the legs, the wider your behind looks. Is there anyone here that agrees or can tell me why skinny jeans may flatter?

I don't think skinny jeans flatter ANYONE. Not even really skinny people. They just make pretty much everyone look strangely proportioned.

I'm a size 2, and they look horrible on me - it isn't how small you are that determines whether or not they look bad - it is the shape of your legs. I suppose for that rare person whose thighs are as thin as their calves, the skinny jeans look ok. For everyone else (and I look good in a bathing suit - my legs have practically no fat on them, but you can't do much about the size of your calves) it makes legs look to small on the bottom and wide on top. Like piano legs.

I'm not skinny, to say the least. I've been squeezing into thirteens lately. But, skinny jeans look fine on me and I get complelmented a lot.

It all depends on what you're wearing them with. Try on some outfits next time you go shopping! You might change your mind. I always try to wear them with a little bit of a heel, and I pair them with a long shirt, crotch length or lower. They are also awesome with boots. My favorite outfit of the week is a sweater dress with skinny jeans and boots.

People say that skinny jeans only make your butt look big, but if you wear them right, you shouldn't have a problem. And if you think you look like a duck, ask someone else who's shopping for their opinion. Obviously not the sales associate, though.

Another word of advice - pricier jeans seem stupid, I know. But you really are paying for the quality and I've noticed that more expensive jeans really do work for more people.

I love them, but I'm rather tall and thin. True Religion is my favorite, but for different sizes and shapes J Brand makes great ones with different ankle widths - so you can find ones that range from 10" (SUPER skinny, too much even for me) to 12" 14" and 16" I think as well, to have a little more flare /bootcut at the bottom.

I like them. I'm only 5' 4" so flare jeans make my legs look shorter. Skinny jeans make them look longer. I love wearing boots over them! Oh and remember-There's nothing wrong with having a big booty.

if you are petite and not taller than 5' 4", you look better with skinny jeans. boot cut is no no for under 5 4 and flare shouldn't be too flare. skinny jeans makes your legs longer and leaner. but if you are overweight, you shouldn't wear skinny jeans. it will get your shape worse. boot cut and flare would be better on you.

I love them because they give me more shape & they flatter my legs & butt since I'm rather thin. I also love vintage style. I don't buy flared jeans anymore since they remind me too much of what I looked like in high school & junior high.

i have to admit.. i do own a pair of skinny jeans, but i havent worn them yet.

i prefer boot cut though, but these jeans were on sale so i picked up a pair.

they look good on me because i am very thin (5'6, 105 pounds), and i like to wear boots over them.. its a pain to tuck flares into knee high boots.

I like the skinny jeans alot more than the wide leg ones. I grew up wearing them and I am really glad they are coming back.

I've been wearing skinny jeans for a few years now, and I'm not the skinniest person on the planet. I think that if you try them on and you like them, then get them. The key is confidence.

I have a friend that looks great in them, she wears a size 2.. however, for the rest of us.. no they aren't flattering ... and since most of the world DOESN'T wear a size 2.. perhaps they should refrain from making them in every store.
