Yeah, I suppose so.
Here more than anywhere else. I mean it's hard to put a situation in context and tell the whole thing from beginning to end.
So, obviously there are bound to be different interpretations, and feelings can run high.
The worst is being insulted and not understanding why.
But I guess It's a risk worth taking when there are so many people who are trying genuinely to help and give helpful answers.

You asked the right person. I've made general statements about something or answered a question too quickly before pondering about the emotional consequences it may have and I was insulted. Sometimes a day or two later I think to myself; Maybe; I should of said that a little differently or maybe I should of just ignored that question or I even think to myself; What the hell was I thinking to respond like that. That's not what I really think. But,then it's too late.

Yes I have felt that way. Some people just take things waaaaay too seriously and they don't give you time to explain what you mean. It happens to me from my mom all the time. I'll say something, she'll think it means something different, she'll yell at me, I'll cry, I explain to my dad what I meant, he tells my mom, my mom then apologizes.

What are you talking about?, who gave you the authority to question the way other people think?, we live in a society which allows freedom of speech and thought, it`s only people like you who cause problems on this site.

All the time, I think people just take it all too seriously. Also there's a lot of people on here who seem to object to someone else having an opinion.

Yep - all the time. I try to make things as clear as possible, but invariably, some idiot can't understand what I'm asking and goes off on me. It frustrating and keeps me from asking too many questions.

YES....IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIMES...

This should give us one concept to realize & bear in mind...

"A WORD'S MEANING IS BEST KNOWN TO THE PERSON WHO SAYS IT, AND NOT THE PERSON WHO HEARS IT"...

Misunderstanding always occures because the above was not taken into consideration...!!!!

All the time, but I put that down to their ignorance and lack of understanding of the English language.
