The worse drivers have always been the drunk and drugged drivers, followed by people on cell phones, then your young drivers, and finally your old drivers. I can drink and drive, but I catch myself making many mistakes and near misses. When I use my cell phone I almost always go across the median or off the road. Aim not old, nor young, but I find that young people speed and take many chances, and most of the accidents I see involve young, drugged, drunk people. Old people are very reckless, but they drive slow and do not cause as many accidents.....And those are the statistics of someone that is on the road all the time and has noticed and witnessed many accidents......KECK

If the driver is not driving defensively then they are bad drivers. Let me ask you this: Is a drunk driver a defensive driver? Is a driver talking on a cell phone a defensive driver? There is no such thing as non-preventible accident. If you didn't do something to prevent it, the other driver could have and should have. Experience, is a very inconsistant teacher. There are many younger drivers who are better than drivers with years of experience and visa versa.

1. Drunk drivers
2. Cell Phone drivers
Young drivers and old drivers can be good drivers, the other two are ones to watch out for

Drunk drivers by far are the worst because they obviously have no regard for the law, life or themselves. The next worst drivers are young kids. Some of the young drivers that I observe to have performance cars are discourteous and sometimes dangerous. Cellphone drivers are just stupid. There is nothing that important to talk about while driving with one hand. Old drivers are more frustrating than they are dangerous.

I think it is older drivers!! The reason for this is... I work in a hospital and I see how some of these old people act in here and then get discharged and "DRIVE" themselves home. This is a joke... If some one can't walk... they for sure don't need to drive..
just a for instance in our neighborhood about 1-2 months ago this is what happened... and 80 something year old woman was parked in front of the post office...some how she thought she ha had it in reverse... well guess what? She didn't !! As she mashed on the gas WAY to hard her van went all the way through the cement wall and the windows in the front of the PO and hurt several people and closed the PO down for a while.. Now tell me old people can drive :)

Definitely drunk drivers. They cause the most accidents. And besides the fact that drivers in general scare me, you can't trust anyone on the road. Drunk drivers can not be trusted on the road.

older drivers and drunk drivers.... Isay this because most of my friends that have died in car accidents were hit by drunk drivers or were drunk at the time.... Old people because every bad accident I was in it was by and older person ( I had a honda flip 2 times and hit 3 trees! an older man was in my lane on a country road! then I had an old lady do that to my husband but he ddnt go off the road or get hit but it was very close!)

it varies person to person. I've seen people who could have a few drinks and drive better than the majority of new drivers. some long time drivers are worse because they get cocky, and some old ladies have vettes and do 80 on small highways, where as some older men cant get their Buick's over 40 on the interstate.
its all relative.

Drunk drivers are probably an even tie with the young drivers. Statistically these are the two groups with the most deaths.

I think the worse drivers are the drivers with cell phones (whether young or old). They are so distracted that they are not paying attention to anyone but themselves, which seems to be a general symptom of the world today.
