Yes, it is possible to get pregnant after having a vasectomy. My step-daughter's aunt has 5 children, 4 girls and 1 boy, after the last was born her husband had a vasectomy. He was supposed to go back and make sure the surgery took...well he didn't and now she is pregnant with number 6, she found out it is another boy. She is due in February of this year. She was not supposed to have any more children because it could kill her. Six cesareans. So yes it is possible to have children after a vasectomy.

I had a vasectomy last year and the doctor explain that the way the procedure was done before they would just snip. Today, they snip, fold back and cortorize, so there is no chance that the woman can get pregnant. After your hubby's vasectomy, did he go to the doctor for the check-up, to make certain, the loose sperm was dead. If so, then you should be okay. Remember, I am not a doctor, so if in doubt, contact the urologist. Good luck-two is enough. I have the fantastic four and that is it... If my wife get's pregnant, she has some explaining to do.lol

The whole point of a vasectomy is to prevent pregnancy. In some cases, few and far between, a woman could get pregnant but the odds are really against this.
There is no guarantee you'll have a girl - here I am pregnant for the 3rd time and this will be our 3rd girl. Love on the boys you have and be grateful they are happy and healthy.
Adoption or foster care are other options...

One of my girl friend did after 2 month of her husband having the vasectomy. you should work on convincing your husband first then you will both find a solution through your Dr. help I had my tubes tied for ten years and just got them reversed but couldn't until we both agreed and that made every thing just happen so easily once we both agree. Good luck

My wife has a friend that had 2 daughters. After a vasectomy, they quietly raised their girls and after sending the youngest off to college, whnt to Hawaii for a special vacation. They were finally empty-nesters, they could finally travel and enjoy life again. On that trip she became pregnant with twins at 48 years old.
The vesectomy was done years ago, new procedures should not have that problems.

My father got a vasectomy when he was married to my mother. Then he married my step mother who had no children of her own, so, he had the vasectomy reversed and it worked out without any problems. I now have another sister!
Good Luck :)

Has the horse bolted? (that would be my question to the wife)
Like the pill a vasectomy is not 100% but after three clear tests, I have not heard of the tubes reconnecting on there own, but I am not in the health profession (and never heard of it in pub talk etc), my wife is and she has, but very rare.

Get Vesctomy reversal, IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. The cost is very low and the medical services are very good in India.
My cousin and her husband got their IVF treatment in India through the Forerunners Healthcare in India and is all praise for this company. She is a known case of PCOS.She is a very happy mother of a baby boy now. She just paid 2500 pounds for the full IVF treatment in India for which she was quoted 8000 pounds in private setup in UK.
Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. I read a lot about them in the newspapers. I have also read about a Chinese couple who planned surrogacy through the Forerunners Healthcare. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery and infertility treatment like IVF, IUI, and ICSI abroad for low price. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery and treatment can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

I think the chances are very slim. A reversal would probably be the best idea, though I'm not sure what that kind of procedure entails. Good luck hon :)

Well It is possible BUT very UNLIKELY. That is why you should think for a few months before going through surgery.
