I'm a veteran with a leg injury in which I can't stand for no more than 2 hours at a time, and the Department of Veterans Affairs will help me find a job and send me to school to study a new career. I'm unsure what that will be, can anyone give me any suggestions. I appreciate it, thank you.

The VA should have some aptitude tests that you can take to assess your personal skills and qualifications. If not, they can borrow a set from the unemployment office down the street.

The question is what do you want to do? Admin., Bookkeeping, College, computers, etc.

Assuming you are a vet, what was your MOS, and can your training and experience be converted to a civilian career (I know that there's not a big call for snipers) ? Can you go back to your former occupation, with "reasonable accommodaton"?

Talk to the people at the VA, or the nearest unemployment office, the veteran's representative will be glad to offer alternatives.

GOOD LUCK !!
