My dryer was working fine before I put it into storage 6 months ago. I recently took it out set it up and this is what happened:

Pushed the start button and it just buzzed (sound that is made when load is done.)

It does nothing else at all.

Can anyone give some insight as to what problem I may have with this dryer. The model number is unknown but its a model from the early 90's.

Please no suggestions of calling a service man out. I am looking to find out the problem before doing that. Thanks in advance.

I already opened the back up and cleaned it out. No traces of any mice or other rodents.

There is NO model number on the dryer. It seems someone removed the sticker or something. I was already on the website, I have already contact them. I been over the dryer in all the places it placed for a model number and there is no model number.

from sitting up the tub may have gotten stiff did you try to move the tub by hand to loosen it up? sometimes you can grab it by the tub and give it a good yank but if its real stiff then you may need to break it down and look inside to see whats wrong. This model has a hanger bearing that uses grease for the drum/tub to ride on
and on the fron side of the tub/drum is a set of slides that are permanently mounted on felt if the glides are gone and their is only felt then the dryer is pinching and this will make it hard to turn. also the motor itself may need to be bumped a bit to get it going after sitting up .by the way your dryer is the simplest and easyest for the DIYers hope this helps.

take and try all the other settings then retry to start it and if that dont work you might have to get a repair man or may be some one changed dryers on you when it was in storage good luck

The model number should be somewhere, probably on the back. With it, you could try Frigidaire's web site. They generally have owners manuals, which have limited troubleshooting info.

Sounds like the timer is stuck. Try moving it by hand. If no change then the timer needs to be replaced.

Open up the back and check for mice nest.
