I was the oldest child out of four. I was not the favorite child. I was the "difficult" one. Or at least that's what my mom told me once.

My sister, who USED to be the favorite, was totally out of control. She has a nack for manipulating people, exspecially guys. (She has a way of dating three guys at once, having all of them know about each other, and also thinking that they're the only one she's seeing. It's weird, really weird.) Not too long ago she totally screwed my mother over and is no longer a favorite.

Growing up, it made me feel ugly, fat, and dirty somehow. I wasn't sure what I had done to be "ignored". (I can't think of a better word.) For instance. I hurt my right knee running track when I was in 9th grade. My mother thought I was faking it. My sister hurt her knee three years later and was taken to the doctor's ASAP! She even had knee surgery. To this day, I still can't run. My mother always loved me, but for some reason she liked the middle sister best, for a long time.

Wow raven.Brilliant.I am a pedagogics assistant in a nursery and have learned a lot about being preferred for certain reasons.I reject it on all basis as I had experienced the both extremes. It make you blind to your real self ,as you don't what bad/good habits you have.It is always on the cost of others to be a favorite child.

To this day My mom and dad always praise a younger sibling and it drives me nuts. She turned out better than I am for some reason. We have the same degree and she's already working and I'm not. She has her life together and I still live at home with my parents. For some reason she's the perfect one. It has affected me in every way it possibly can.

I killed my siblings....then I became the favorite child. My parents were very giving after that. I got anything I wanted.

well, i was a middle child, so my older brother got to do whatever he wanted and my younger sister, got everything she wanted and i was kinda left out. i think it really scarred me for life. i always feel like i'm being left out or that i'm alone. i think that's why!
