My point here is that we see the qualities we are looking for and filter out the rest. I'm talking about mental associations that don't involve our intelligence. Maybe like the way a dog associates things without thinking about them. The associations are just there from past experience. If the association isn't complete (like water satisfies thrist and the water isn't there) then we get creative and look for something that seems like the missing element. Sometimes we make new associations with things that our intelligence would tells don't belong together. If we are thirsty enough we try them anyway. I think this is how a fetish is formed. (Cognative distortion or distorted projections)
Gestalt psychology introduced the idea that projections are normal functions as well as those that are used as defense mechanisms. I think that cognative distortion replaced distorted projection to eliminate the confusion.

Human sexuality is basically subconscious, what receives you off, receives you off. Why are some human beings instantly and others bi or gay? Why carry out slightly human beings like blonde's and others brunettes? Why are some human beings into BDSM and others no longer? there is not often, if ever, a causative element. the concept that there is any such element stems from the concept that anybody is born needing in reality vanilla heterosexual interest and that some thing else is a form of ailment. in case you're unwell, then searching for a reason for the ailment is sensible. There are nonetheless tens of millions of folk who declare that no man or woman might want to be gay in the journey that they were raised good. I, for my section, do no longer share the fetishes you aspect out, yet my bi-sexuality has been with me as long as i have been responsive to sexual thoughts, and there became no trauma or abuse that delivered about it. Asking why someone enjoys what they delight in is unnecessary, they only do.

Fetishes are just part of who we are.

I have a leather and spanking and biting fetish. Some people like feet. Some like rimjobs and golden showers. It doesn't necessarily mean that we went through anything as a child to make us enjoy it, its just what makes us who we are.

well it might go back to potty training days, most likely does. maybe their parents scolded them for playing with their feces and they liked to do it before it disregards authority.
