HUH? We produce eggs? I thought we were born with a certain amount and then release them over our life time.

Women are born with all the eggs they are ever going to have. Never does a woman produce an egg. She releases an egg or two every month.

Okay think back to 8th grade health. Woman are already born with all the eggs she'll ever have. Then once a month a egg is realeased and you ovulate. Sometimes more then one gets out and that is how ferturnal twins are concieved.

A woman only produces 1 per cycle. She is born with every egg she will ever release to be fertilized. Very rarely she will release two eggs, thus having fraternal twins. (if noth are fertilized) This is usually at the very beginning or end of her fertile years.
