My Choice goes for None other than one and only Indian Nightangle "Lata Mangeshkar"
She was Born 28th September 1929 in Indore (MP).
Lata Mangeshkar has been active in all walks of Indian popular and light classical music having sung film songs, ghazals, bhajans and pop. She is the supreme voice of popular Indian music, an Indian Institution. Until the 1991 edition, when her entry disappeared, the Guinness Book of Records listed her as the most recorded artist in the world with not less than 30,000 solo, duet and chorus-backed songs recorded in 20 Indian languages between 1948 and 1987. Today the number might have reached 40,000!!!

we can't say that we have only one best female singer... bcoz...we may find two singers for this question.... one is Lata ji... and the other..Asha ji .... many of the people says that LATAJI is the best singer... but never forget Asha ji who rocked whole country with her voice.... LATAJI famous for melody...sentimentle.... but Ashaji is famous for all kind of music and songs... even now we may find the sweetness of her voice in her latest album with MUNNA BHAI........the song is .." Jaayiye Jaayiyee "... then whom we can give the crown for BEST SINGER of BOLLWOOD.......?
