Can someone please tell me fior sure is Limewire a legal download site? If so how come you get it free but have to pay per tune on other sites? This is in the UK.

Limewire is a Peer 2 peer network progrma, so you're not actually downloading from limewire, you're downloading from other userson the network. It is legal, but it is illegal to download copyrighted material that you have not paid for. There is a warning at the start of the installation of this program, and it asks you whether you will use it fro downloading copyrighted material or not.
Bascially covering their own backs ;)

Limewire is set up for shareware to be free. The other stuff people add is illegal to download. Basically, if you don't buy it, you're stealing it (excludes shareware). Some sites have promos where if you watch the ads you can download a song, or collecting soda caps, ect. I hope this helps!

i downloaded limewire,and it gave my computer a virus ,and i had to pat 65pounds to have it fixed
