Cats always land on their feet...

Buttered toast always lands butter side down...

Sooo, if you tied a piece of buttered toast to a cats back (butter side up), and dropped the cat, what side would land down?

Please understand, This is only a poll, and I am not supporting any sort od cat torture here...

Well, when I tried it the cat was trying so hard to lick the butter that he and the toast both landed side ways. The impact to the tile floor in the kitchen got his attention though, but when he tried to run he was slippin'and slidin' so much that it took him a bit to get his traction goin'. Most of the toast fell off right before he shot out through the back door and I never could catch him to get the duct tape off. I guess he managed to get it off himself, cause he showed back up a few days later with the tape and a good bit of fur missin'.=0)

Since I couldn't find a cat that was willing to participate in this drill - most cats are union nowadays - I did the next best thing.

I have a friend by the name of Cat, so I slipped her a sleeping pill and once she was sound asleep, I superglued a bunch of buttered toast to her.

Having properly affixed all of the toast, I then proceeded to put a hoist to the third branch from my tree and proceeded to lift her up there.

Once she was secure, I dropped her and begin to study my results.

Unfortunately, for all three of the times she was dropped, she plummeted like a rocket straight to the ground head first....

My hypothesis is - perhaps her reaction time was impaired by the fact that she was comatose.

Upon waking however, she was quite disoriented, sore and pissed off about the superglued buttery toast stuck all over.

For some reason, she decided to end our friendship.

I think the weight of the cat would tae presidence and land on its feet, if the toast influenced the wieght/balance ratio, the toast could end up butter side down with the cat on its back. That's the funniest thing I can ever imagine seeing!

Hehe! The cat is heavier than the butter toast so the cat has more control over the toast I guess! lol

This is by far the best question I have ever seen on here. To answer: The cat would become confused and land on it's head.

Then the heavier entity might want to be the dominant bouyancy, so the cat might want to nonetheless land on its feet yet might want to be walking round searching ridiculous till someone bumped off the slice of toast, does that help - loopy individual? Lol
