I'M AFRICAN AMERICAN, AND I LOVE HEAVY METAL AND A LOT OF OTHER KINDS OF ROCK.
THAT'S A GOOD QUESTION.
SOMETIMES I THINK THAT PEOPLE ARE JUST AFRAID TO TRY SOMETHING NEW BECAUSE THERY'RE AFRAID OF THE REACTION THEY MAY GET.
BUY I DON'T CARE, BECAUSE I KNOW GOOD MUSIC WHEN I HEAR IT!

I am not black, but I have wondered the same thing myself. Howard Jones from Kill Switch Engage has an excellent voice for metal. There are a ton of anglo saxon's into rap, which to me is a dying genre, but I never see too many african american metal heads.

I like all kinds of music except country and jazz. The hardest rock groups I've ever liked are Type O Negative and Drowning Pool but I don't know if they're considered as heavy metal.
