exact question is, i have some parade shoes (think military) and they need to be shiny. there are different methods such as hair dryers and beeswax. I wondered if anyone had a good suggestion.

My friend says - I do mine every week and I find the best way is to put one layer of black on first and melt it with the hair dryer and then bull them with a damp cotton wool bud dipped in the black, build it up and you should have lovely bulled shoes.

Buy some black parade polish from supermarket or shoe repairers and then using damp cotton wool rub shoes in circular motion and eventually after lots and lots of elbow grease a shine will begin to appear. Keep on repeating the process.Keep the cotton wool damp. You can always "spit and polish"if you feel inclined.
