i just got a new laptop... and i bought a new set of altec lansing speakers to go with it.. the only thing is... well my wireless router interferes with them... how can i stop it?

move the speakers a little farthe away from your computer, and move the wireless router farther away from th espeakrs. the speakers afre picking up the "RF" transmission of the wireless router. this chances the current in the wires in the speakers (can be along the wires too) and causes the interferance.

How do you reckon that your wireless router is interfering with your speakers? The frequencies that the two use are so far apart that the chance of interference is essentially zero.

Get a new set of speakers with better RF shielding.. also perhaps try moving your router further away from the speakers.

once you put in the router, you someway screwed the sound settings up. you need to circulate into my laptop , sound and fool around. additionally suitable click on the speaker icon and spot if the quantity is grew to become down. there are some zillion issues here, in simple terms save messing with it.

How do you know it's the router? If you're using wireless the router ain't even close ??
