I liked the 1970-73 Camaro Z28's and the 1978-81 Camaro Z28's, I didn't care much for the 1982-2002 Z28's.

I love them. I have two right now, and will be buying a third when the new ones come out.

I have a 1999 M6 Z28, which is my daily driver. T-tops, LS1 engine, and a few mods. I love this car.

The second is my heavily modded 1994 A4 Z28. T-tops, LT4 engine, forged, and bored to 355 c.i., with Vortech Supercharger, crane ignition system and variable boost timer. This thing looks stock, inside and out, but doesn't sound like it! The longtube headers and exhaust cutout were installed to cover up the whine from the supercharger. Sometimes, I can still convince the "uneducated" that the whine from the supercharger is just the belt going bad. Fun times.

All in all, Camaros and Firebirds are great power for the cost.

I drove a 69 Z29 Camaro and I was impressed! It had 373 gears in it with a wide box trans. The engine came to life at 4,500 RPM. From there it screamed strongly right up to 7,500. Professional drag racers Dave Strickler for one ran in the low 12 second range with his 302 Z. It was sponsored buy: Amon R. Smith of York PA. I'm quite sure Bill "Grumpy" Jenkins built the motor and maintained it. I was fortunate one afternoon to be in the pits at Watkins Glen when the old Trans Am Circuit came to town. I stood between Roger Penske / the late Mark Donahue and the late "Mystery Man" Smokey Yunick. Smokey was kneeling on to p of his motor spreading epoxy resin between the intake manifold and cylinder heads. YES I LOV EM

i drive a 1984 camaro z28 and i think its a fantastic car. im getting a 350 thanks to everyone who told me to go that route. they have a good ammount of performance and the looks of a 3rd gen isnt that bad, the older camaros are nice too. but if you cant afford the price tags on the 1st and 2nd gen camaros, the 3rd gen is easy to find and easy to work on.

Let's see I have had nine Camaro's . Four of them Z/28s. So I guess I do. I still have the ninth one . It's a 73 with the RS option 454 with a Richmond six speed.

They are not bad cars. Very easy to work on. Not my personal favorite, but I wouldn't complain if someone wanted to give me one.
