I agree 100% Anytime GOD is removed, nothing good can come from it.
God is LOVE. Praying to God is talking to our heavenly Father and creator. What better way for children is there than to ask HIM for guidance.

Liberals in this country will soon destroy it.

Yes to your 1st part, it should be allowed for who wants to pray. As for the 2nd part violence in the schools increased in my opinion for a couple of reasons- parents are not allowed to spank their children, I dont mean abuse I mean a good old fashion over the knee spanking, I had them and I didnt want to many, parents now cant do much, by the time the child is 5 their out of control! And there is so much violence in our world today, children need attention and have a parent who talks to them about right and wrong, now days so many single parents R struggling that the children seem to get lost.

Prayer should not be in public schools because everyone prays and worships differently - America is supposed to be for ALL faiths - and I remember too well when I was in school - the prayers were definitely Christian oriented and we had 30% Jewish classmates who had to just sit while we prayed. Catholic children were told NOT to genuflect. Protesants do not pray like Catholics - who is going to decide HOW to pray and who to pray to?
Why not pray before and after school - or quietly to one's self. God hears ya - you don't have to force others of other faiths to listen or pray a prayer with you they don't believe.
If you want prayer in school - you should send your children to Christian and Parochial schools (who are hurting for money and closing by the hundreds every year)

Do you REALLY think praying out loud will keep violence away any better than praying to one's self?

This really is a world gone mad.

I think prayer should be aloud in schools! To each there own!
If someone didn't like it then they don't need to do it!
Seems to me that there are allot more religious people out there then atheists..And this country was defined on religion! I do believe that taking god out of schools has been a detriment to society!

I think that kids should have the right to pray if they want. I do think that is why there is an increase in violence in the schools.

You mean, do you think they should 'MAKE' people pray at school because if I'm not mistaken, you don't get the belt for praying in school, you might get shoved in a locker or knocked out but that's about it. As per your second question, I don't believe you should be allowed to discuss learning or school until you can correctly spell 'sence'. Gawd.

prayer is allowed in school. if you want to pray, go ahead. they cant stop you. only the teachers cannot tell students to pray or teach about religion if its not in the curriculum.

No I don't think it should be allowed in school as it is nothing but a distraction and alienates children of different backgrounds. And school violence has nothing to do with the lack of prayer in schools. Religion is the root of the bloodiest wars throughout history so don't even give me that crap.

Yes they should be allowed....Special interest groups are the problem, if one person doesn't like it, everybody must suffer.....In a true Democracy the needs of the many out weight the wants of a few...not the other way around...
